Nutrition Experts Announce New
Healthy Eating for Life Series

Washington, D.C.—At a time of growing awareness about the power of food to impact health, the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM) is pleased to announce its new Healthy Eating for Life series. Published by John Wiley & Sons, Inc., this four-book collection translates the latest scientific research about nutrition into simple guidebooks for promoting wellness and preventing and treating disease. Each book also provides a wealth of vegetarian recipes, sample menus, and cooking tips.

The books cover four important areas:

  • Healthy Eating for Life for Children
  • Healthy Eating for Life for Women
  • Healthy Eating for Life to Prevent and Treat Cancer
  • Healthy Eating for Life to Prevent and Treat Diabetes

The books were written by a panel of PCRM nutrition experts, headed by authors focusing on different topics: Amy Lanou, Ph.D., on children; Kristine Kieswer on women; Vesanto Melina, M.S., R.D., on cancer; and Patricia Bertron, R.D., on diabetes. Neal Barnard, M.D., PCRM president and best-selling author of Eat Right, Live Longer and Foods That Fight Pain, participated on each panel.

The books (priced at $14.95 U.S./$23.50 Canadian) will be in stores later this month.
